Tips mentioned in this article are based on my own training, the experience I have received to set up and staff trades show booth, and my own observations watching other people, both as a casual observer and as a critic of the event.
Once you have this information, it is easier to figure out your breakeven point for an event based on the exhibition application fee, travel expenses, meals, and hotels. For example, if you have 8 acrylic painting sells for $ 200 – $ 350 each and costs shows the average admission is $ 200, you might want to stay close to home to avoid travel costs until you have a larger inventory, or until you know the market well enough to show that you know will sell out.
Once you decide where your breakeven point and you determine your comfort zone as far as cost is concerned, you will need to narrow down your choices to show list of artwork showing that suit you best.
